Sustainable Finger Lakes (SFLX) is pleased to announce the hiring of Jessika Bond as its new Deputy Director.
Bond holds a Master of Public Administration from Western Carolina University, a bachelor’s degree in History and Anthropology from UNC Asheville, a certificate in sustainable zoning and land use from UNC SOG, and a Certificate in Rural Economic Development from The NC Rural Center. She was drawn to Sustainable Finger Lakes because of her deep connection to the area, a lifelong dedication to preserving the natural world, and a desire to be part of the solution for creating a sustainable and healthy future for all.
The addition of Bond to the leadership team will enable Sustainable Finger Lakes to take a dual approach to advancing a more resilient and equitable future for the Finger Lakes Region, with Bond overseeing day-to-day operations and organizational growth while Founder and President Gay Nicholson focuses on coalition building and broader regional campaigns.
