🎉New mini-grant project announced! 🎉
Ithaca Community Gardens is one of our newest Tompkins County Neighborhood Mini-Grant awardees.
Ithaca Community Gardens is a non-profit that furthers community food self-sufficiency. They provide support and encouragement for gardeners, including garden tools and soil amendments, as well as additional resources, mentoring, and events.
The funding awarded will be used for four raised garden beds for gardeners with impaired abilities to bend or kneel. In fact, they recently updated us that the new garden beds are already underway! We’re excited to see what they will grow by next year.
Sustainable Finger Lakes has awarded more than 242 mini-grants and over $100,000 in funding for projects just like this one. Recently, we’ve expanded our program to Seneca, Yates, and Schuyler counties with plans to expand to Chemung, Steuben, and Tioga counties. This year, our campaign is raising funds for the 2026 grant cycle.Â
Give the gift of a mini-grant. Any donations made until Dec. 2 will contribute directly to our mini-grant fund. To learn more about how you can sponsor a project, please visit our website at sustainablefingerlakes.org/support-us/
