The Learning Web rents two apartments for youth in Ithaca. They were able to have heat pumps installed through Sustainable Finger Lakes’ Clean Energy and Equity Pilot program. Their previous system only had one thermostat shared between both units, so they are excited for both units to have the ability to control their own temperature. Additionally, they are excited for the air conditioning once the weather turns warm!
Thanks to Halco, Sustainable Finger Lakes, and NYSERDA, the Learning Web tenants can stay warm in the winter and cool in the summer while also saving energy. The CO2 reduction for the work done on the entire building is keeping 252 tons of CO2 out of the atmosphere!
