Yvonne Taylor, co-founder and vice president of Seneca Lake Guardian, via the Finger Lakes Times, shares that the town of Seneca’s vote on the landfill was delayed again until the March board meeting.
Importantly, a recent study found that landfill workers have an excess risk of cancer due to “benzene, toluene, ethylene, and xylene compounds found in landfill gas.”
Taylor calls for people to email Melissa Brown, the town clerk, at mbrown@senecafalls.com and ask her to share your message with all of the board members. Make sure to send in your comments before the town board meeting on March 4.
