Citizens’ Climate Lobby (CCL) empowers everyday people to work together on climate policy. Their supporters are organized in 420+ chapters across the United States building support in Congress for a national bipartisan solution to climate change. Globally, they also support 150+ international chapters on six continents.
CCL has a few local chapters – including Rochester, Southern Tier & Finger Lakes, Central New York (Syracuse), and Buffalo. They work to build grassroots and grasstops support for important climate solutions at the federal level:
They meet with our Members of Congress multiple times each year – including in Washington, DC at their annual conference and lobby day – and are proud of the positive relationships that they can build with them. After all, progress moves at the speed of trust.
Volunteers actively participate in festivals, educating people about the benefits of electrifying their homes and vehicles – and how they can access grants, rebates, and tax incentives to help pay for it all!
In collaboration with the Environmental Voter Project, CCL has been working to boost voter turnout among climate-conscious individuals. Recently, upstate NY chapters have written nearly 5,000 postcards to encourage these voters to take action.
“We’d love to have your passion, your skills, and your perspective and encourage you to join your local chapter! You have more political power than just a single vote! Come find out how with Citizens’ Climate Lobby!”
