In October 2023, Sustainable Finger Lakes awarded the Dryden Middle/High School Sustainability Club a Neighborhood Mini-Grant to equip the Dryden Middle School and Dryden High School cafeterias with reusable metal utensils, ending the use and disposal of 5,000 plastic utensils each month. On May 6, 2024, regional news service Spectrum News 1 aired a video featuring this project and the Neighborhood Mini-Grant Program that funded it.
