“Great news! New York’s legislature just passed legislation to stop fracking waste being dumped in our state!
Now we need to urge Governor Cuomo to sign it into law!
Five years ago, New York banned fracking, but we’ve still been a dumping ground for fracking waste from Pennsylvania. This toxic brew contains radioactivity and other hazardous substances, and it’s being sent to our landfills and even sprayed on our roads – threatening our water, health, and environment.
But this year, New York’s legislature finally took action, passing landmark legislation that will keep fracking waste out of our state. Now we need Governor Cuomo to sign this crucial legislation.
Tell Governor Cuomo to sign S.3392 / A.2655 immediately to protect New York from the dangers of fracking waste!“
